1. How did you start your journey in the music industry, particularly in the DJ scene?

When I was younger, I played video games with dance and EDM-influenced soundtracks. From there, I attended music events, and one day, it all just came together. DJing felt natural to me.

2. Who are your DJ influences, both from the past and present?

Ferry, Armin, and Oakenfold have had a significant influence on trance music, both then and now. All three artists cover a wide range and spectrum within the trance genre.

3. California is one of the most challenging markets for DJs and producers. What is it like to be a DJ in Los Angeles and California? What difficulties do you face?

Being a DJ in Los Angeles is both fun and challenging, as most things in life tend to be. While I face daily difficulties in the industry, I can't identify any specific issues at the moment. Instead, I choose to keep moving forward and focus on the process and my journey.

4. Have you participated in many of Insomniac's “Dreamstate” events? How did that first happen, and how are you managing to keep the Insomniac bookings going?

Having a strong support system and a team that shares the same vision is essential.

5. What is the worst thing that has happened to you on stage, and how did you manage to resolve the issue?

I wouldn't describe it as the worst thing, but one challenging moment beyond my control occurred when one of my performance times was delayed while I was opening a festival. However, I made the best of the situation by enjoying the music and getting into the groove until the gates finally opened.

6. How do you prepare for your shows?

I enjoy eating and relaxing before shows, but on show days, I like to wake up early and do a nice morning workout.

7. Raves or clubs: which do you prefer and why?

Clubs and warehouses create an atmosphere that matches any setting, but the club vibe is enhanced by the surroundings and the music artist.

8. How do you remain grounded in a world dominated by social media, where we constantly feel the need to perform?

I honestly don't know. I take social media day by day as that realm is constantly changing and evolving.

9. Let's discuss music production. What is your process for producing music?

The process of music production requires a lot of patience. I use Ableton Live as my interface because it is very user-friendly. I have worked with and learned from many people in the industry, and I continue to do so. I am always seeking to expand my knowledge in music production.

10. Ferry Corsten is one of the godfathers of trance. How did you end up working with him?

My hard work and determination led me to connect with Ferry. Years later, we established a strong friendship and began working together.

11. As a Trance DJ and producer, you must be thrilled to release "Switch Up" on Armada Music. Have you met Armin, and what is your relationship with the Armada and ASOT brand?

I am excited to release my work with each label as I develop relationships and trends for positive growth. Believe it or not, I first met Armin before I started producing and DJing. He held a meet and greet for his intense album back when the House of Blues was in Hollywood.

12. Tell me a little about "Switch It Up"?

This release is high energy and serves as a follow-up to "Timeout."

13. “Conscious” really stood out to me. It's the kind of track I love to hear at an event. When you are producing music, do you keep in mind whether it’s for the club or meant for listeners at home? Or does the creativity flow naturally, and you simply release what comes to you?

I create tracks based entirely on my feelings and my current position in the industry. "Conscious" is an emotional future rave track that I intended to play exclusively in clubs because it has a strong club show vibe.

14. You just released “Future Sight” with Gene Xander and DGenx. I love the energy—it’s one of those tracks that you can listen to on repeat! You also collaborated with Adara on “Shooting Stars.” How did you divide the responsibilities on that track? When working with other producers, is there a specific element that you feel must be included in the music?

In a collaboration, there are no strict rules governing how to work together. I typically hold multiple sessions to ensure that both my collaborator and I are aligned. Ideas are always flowing, but sometimes you just know when something is truly perfect.

15. You excel at producing vocals, which is a complex art form. What is your go-to plugin for creating vocals?

Melodyne is my preferred tool for processing vocals. Additionally, the effort that the vocalist puts in greatly assists the vocal processing.

16. Do you have any advice for upcoming artists?

Do it! Don’t be scared or discouraged if you are declined or ignored. Use it to fuel your passion. Stay in your lane; there is never any traffic!
